Terminal

LOGLINE:

An environmental nuclear bomb looms in Utah. Two intrepid scientists and a political insider race the clock to save their home from an unprecedented environmental catastrophe.

SYNOPSIS:

Terminal is a raw, vérité film that follows three prominent individuals in their fight to save a dying lake. They see the catastrophe coming—poisoned air, a collapsing ecosystem—and throw themselves into the everyday, often mundane work of trying to stop it. As they struggle against bureaucracy, apathy, and time itself, an invisible horror looms: the dust, rising in the background, waiting to consume everything.

Blending the mystical and the pragmatic, Terminal transcends traditional environmental storytelling. It’s not just about saving a body of water; it’s about confronting our own role in this crisis. Terminal contemplates the question: What is your role when catastrophe looms? Where do the lines get drawn—and who steps over them? In the film’s most arresting moments, the lake and those who fight for it share a knowing gaze: Can we save ourselves from ourselves?
