Seventeen-year-old LILI runs away from her home in Tucson after her foster father’s unwanted advances become unbearable. With a backpack and thirty dollars, she heads to Los Angeles, hoping to stay with a former foster sister—only to arrive and learn that she has been arrested. With nowhere to go, Lili turns to a youth center and is told temporary housing may be available, but for the next 72 hours, she is on her own.
On the streets of Hollywood, Lili is pulled into a makeshift community of unhoused youth. She meets WILLIAM, whose quiet kindness earns her trust, and RONDA, a hardened survivor who teaches her how to stay safe. But the same world that offers connection is also dangerous, filled with people who prey on vulnerability.
Over three intense days and nights, Lili must navigate survival, loyalty, and betrayal. When housing finally becomes available, she has been changed by what she has endured—and by the people she has met. She leaves street life behind with a fragile but real sense that her future might finally belong to her.
