Developed by Scholas Occurrentes, it places the language of film in the hands of communities that have historically been unheard, inviting them to become authors of their own stories. At the heart of the movement is the feature documentary Aldeas, A New Story, which brings together community-created films with intimate interviews with Martin Scorsese and Pope Francis, capturing the Pope’s final artistic dream: to build a culture of encounter through cinema. The film transforms storytelling into a living act of dignity, memory, and connection, linking local truths to a global audience.
